I purchased this printer or one very similar about two years ago. I use it mainly for scanning. I have not used the fax capability. I print color photos every once and a while. I pay $2 a month for up to 50 copies of printing.

It is a great scanner. The sheet feeder does work. And this is a good price if you need a scanner.

My printer survived a move of over 1,000 miles. These are well engineered products. There are occasional hiccups with the wifi but that may be because there are so many wifi connections in my immediate area.

The manual.

Is this an “instant ink ready” model?

It doesn’t appear to be.

This from HP:

Per the vendor: “Yes, this is the Instant Ink ready model.”

I bought the 6962 earlier this year for $69.99. The specs on this seem identical. It’s been great. Works well with my Windows, Mac, and Chromebook devices. The Chromebook support was the real reason I bought it. Supports Google Cloud Print and direct printing from Chrome. Also can scan by going to the printer’s web interface. The only issue I have with it are refill kits for the 902 cartridges are a bit hard to come by.
