HP Pavilion 15.6" FHD Touchscreen Win11 Laptop

HP Pavilion 15.6" FHD Touchscreen Win11 Laptop

Seems like a good deal, touchscreen, decent 12gb mem/512 SSD/i5 CPU/upgraded to Win11. New models run $800.

I’d get if if I wasn’t looking for a 2-in-1.

I keep wondering what the catch is on this one. They sell a similar one for maybe $50 less with no touch screen and an ancient 5400 RPM hard drive, so why is this one so close in price?

IIRC, the other one discussed much had 17" screen and painfully slow harddrive.

battery info?

It has one. From the linked specs:

Battery type
3-cell, 41WhLi-ion

Thanks for quick reply about battery info,

I bought what is essentially this same model from Microcenter, new, for the same price (on sale). The only difference that I can see at a glance, is that mine had 8GB instead of 12.

Here is a link to the one at Microcenter - out of stock.

I’m painfully aware of the 5400 RPM drive! HP 17" Laptop (Intel i5-1135G7, 12GB RAM, 1TB) I bought one and upgraded it to an m.2 like many other purchasers. Very happy with it.
I forgot it was a 17" notebook the last time, so smaller (but touch) screen, and no spinning disk (processor difference seems negligible) seems like a fair trade-off.
If the other one comes up again, I don’t think I’d hesitate to buy it again and upgrade the hard drive if I’m looking for a laptop.
I do really like convertibles myself though.
