CPU Benchmark

Time to learn all about the processor and learn all about USB 3.0

The main features tab lists the graphics as AMD Radeon HD 8400 graphics but in the specs tab, it lists AMD Radeon HD 7600G graphics; which is it, and does it have dedicated graphics memory?

I too need to know this, I am pondering making the purchase and this detail really matters.

edit

I may be mistaken here but it appears that it does have a dedicated GPU which is the 7600G.

The 8400 is because the CPU is actually APU meaning it can handle both video and normal processing. My guess is this function likely saves on battery life but is weaker than the GPU.

If I am wrong or if there is something to add please express such.

edit#2

So I found some useful benchmarks for the APU but… if I know my languages (which I don’t) it appears to be in Portuguese still the benchmark charts themselves are easy to read. http://adrenaline.uol.com.br/biblioteca/analise/784/amd-a6-5200-kabini.html?&pg=1

It seems quite power hungry for such under performance. Plus it does terrible with games until it is linked with a dedicated GPU now to find out just how well the dedicated GPU on this laptop does.

In either case it will be shared graphics memory. So the question becomes what is the total RAM configuration allowed?

Also what is the mp of the web cam?

Are the batteries new or just tested?

How many dead pixels are allowed?

What is the acceptable dents to scratches ratio allowed in the resell?

Has all body hair been removed during the return process?

Do the keys have original printed letters on them or did the return company draw them back on with a wax pencil?

Is the power brick OEM or an after market generic?

Will it be shipped in a laptop box or wrapped in bubble wrap and tossed into a refrigerator box?

Will the keys or the screen be sticky from drool or were they cleaned with anti bacterial cleaner?

Will it come with a restore disc and OEM key or are you getting a Hope and Pray model?

Was the HD wiped clean or just an image restored?

Is all the bloatware restored?

Is there a drivers disc?

If it comes DOA, what is the expected time for woot to resolve?

Is the original return reason disclosed so the new owner can validate repairs were done?

Will warranty repair include free shipping and what parts are covered?

I think I found the review for it

Here are answers to a couple of your questions:

Integrated graphics; Radeon HD 8400 with 2029MB graphics memory.

Webcam is HD; likely 720p

HP doesn’t specify max ram on the product page, but it’s probably 8GB.

UPDATE: Also from the buyer:

All manufacturer refurbished computers go through a rigorous refurbishing process which brings the product to a condition as “like-new” as possible.

Here’s a little more info from the vendor:

Is the power brick OEM or an after-market generic? OEM.

Will it be shipped in a laptop box or wrapped in bubble wrap and tossed into a refrigerator box? Packaged in an HP Brown laptop box.

Will it come with a restore disc and OEM key or are you getting a Hope and Pray model? Win 8 will have a copy of the OS within the HDD partition and the OS key can be found within the BIOS. No restore disc is included.

Was the HD wiped clean or just an image restored? Yes, HP would have wiped the HDD clean.

Is there a drivers disc? No.

Hope that helps a little!

Actually it does and thank you for most of the answers. The warranty and DOA questions should be easy to answer. Can you get clarity on those?

Thanks

Warranty?

never mind… found it: HP 90 day

Yeah, but what “IS” the warranty? They should post it as a PDF.

Maybe it’s like Obamacare? You have to buy one to know what it is?
