HP Pavilion AMD 2.8GHz 5600+ Desktop Computer

are you kidding…this processor is plenty fast for this game on vista…my 4400+ runs it fine in vista ultimate

does this come with a power supply?

The datasheet for the motherboard can be found at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01080282&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3548196&lang=en

That box looks huge. Will I have to have an architect draw plans for an addition to the house?

Man, if it only came with XP it would be worth considering.

Been waiting for a new desktop media storage PC. Sweet! Thanks woot!

<333 Woot!

I needed a new computer and I have not nearly this much money on my debt card.

Oh well, it’s wired into my saving’s account

Thanks for saving me some money and time looking for another computer! A laptop just isn’t my favourite thing to do some things on. Especially with low specs and Vista.

Yes, I found your PC at Buy.com. However it is refurbished/reconditioned also. Why pay more when you can get the same here on Woot for less?

Buy.com: “HP Pavilion a6230n GN561AA AMD Desktop Computer - AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.8GHz, 3GB DDR2, 400GB SATA II, DL DVDRW/RAM w/Lighscribe, Flash Media Reader, 10/100 LAN, Windows Vista Home Premium -Recertified - GN561AAABA - 3G DDR & 400G HD!”

Nice! 400 GB hard drive!

PC Tower sales will slide downward as the notebook market is set to dominate. Gamers and other specific niche users will keep the tower alive. imho anyway. Thoughts?

Too huge and a refurb? Get smaller w00t… we are on computers now…

Isn’t this abetter deal?

I think this is an OK price. You can make a lot better computer for a little more, just wouldn’t come with OS.

If only it didnt come with…Vista lol…

It’s just an “ok” deal. You can get a Dell with similar specs for less.

DL DVDRW/RAM w/Lighscribe - I think that should handle most of your needs! 8^)

On Newegg
Processor: $140
Memory (approx): $70
HDD: $99
Mobo: $99

so $400 right there… which means the Case/PS/DVD Writer has to be worth more than $80 for it to be a good deal… unless you are going to pay for vista… then this is a steal (although the license will not transfer off of this HP to another computer)

Price for the processor alone: $139.00

DVD:$49

Ram: $30ish per GB (About $90 total)

Hard Drive: $95

Windows Vista: $227
