HP Pavilion Elite Quad Core Desktop w/1TB HDD, 8GB RAM & Blu-Ray

a COM>>>>>

It’s $600 day at Woot!

good specs…except for the graphics card. Fail

Ok, this machine has me VERY confused. The pic of the back makes it look like it’s got an added video card, and additional expansion slots. Yet the pic of the inside doesn’t show any of that.

This seem odd to anyone else??

so we meet again

edit because I put in the wrong URL.

…just trying to help

least the knives are gone.

I shudder at HP products, since I used to support them. After interacting with their atrocious customer service and poorly made products, I will never buy anything HP

I want a sansa :expressionless:

You are correct. Weak sauce using confusing stock photos, Woot.

You can see the graphics card in the inside pic … look in the center, it’s brown. As far as the expansion slots … I see what you mean.

Sounds like you’ve dealt mostly with their home line (which of course would include this machine). Their business line is MUCH better than their home line.

Nice features if you can get past the part about it being HP…

8 gig of RAM? Can you even play farmville with that =).

Specs arent bad at all. I contemplating buying it as a box to run jobs all day at my house. One thing with HP is that their support sucks. It is almost impossible to get them to fix things that are new and in warranty. I once bought a refurb printer from woot that was DOA neither woot or HP were able to get it fixed. Also had an issue with my laptop hinges cracking due to a design flaw and the only way to get that fixed was to contact our company rep (when I worked for a huge company) and tell them about my personal situation. We also had a group of 8 at that company with nc6400 hp laptops. 4 required new mother boards within the 2 years I was there and 2 had hard disk failures.

TL;DR: Never buy HP. Support and quality both suck (especially if refurbished)

I just got a comparable one from dell - as a gift.

I like it but the 64bit thing is giving me all kinds ofhell with software.

And none of my old stuff will go on here. photoshop for instance! do you know what cs5 for 64bit costs??? yeah more than twice what the system costs. LOL CRAZY!!!

WOOF !!!

So does the lack of a good graphics card prevent this from being a decent PC to hook up to a TV?

Oh yes, I went there.

cheap stuff, please? pretty please?
