Will this machine support dual monitors out of the box?

Take a look at the Specs tab under ‘Rear Panel’ to see if this has the ports you need.

I’ve also used a cheap splitter in the past to accommodate dual monitors.

It should. It has a VGA out and a DVI out- so you need one of each type, or need to figure out if you can use an adapter or not (DVI to VGA)? see below link. Keep in mind that if you add a videocard it will disable the onboard video, so make sure that video card is at least 2 heads if you go that route.

Does this reconditioned HP come with any kind of warranty?

If you scroll waayyyyy down to the bottom of the features tab, there’s a 90 Day HP warranty listed.

Additionally, at the top of the features tab, you can purchase an extended SquareTrade warranty through the provided widget.

This is a pretty nice machine for the price. It feels new, not reconditioned. I got mine the other day and it’s very clean with no scratches. For some reason I thought it was shipping with a 5400RPM drive but it came with 7200RPM, all the better. There is room inside, and a mounting location where you can mount a secondary hard drive (2.75" “laptop” drive) but you’ll need another SATA cable. Power cable is already provided. Lots of room inside for an easy RAM upgrade to 16GB (the max supported). HP did a nice job making this machine very quiet. You can’t even tell it’s powered on if it’s under your desk. Overall, speed is fine, graphics are nice. If you’re planning on running a super powered video card instead of the onboard graphics chipset, make sure your video card doesn’t suck too much power. It comes with a 300 Watt power supply - most high end video cards recommend a 400 Watt power supply. I’m using onboard video and driving a 24" Acer flat panel over the DVI port and it’s working well - fast and responsive. The keyboard and mouse are a bit on the flimsy side and I replaced both, but the machine itself is great.

Can I use amazon gift cards for payment?

Not currently, no. Sorry.

Mine came in yesterday. Heard a rattling noise while removing it from the shipping box. Opened the case and discovered one of the Motherboard mounting screws had come loose and was rolling around in the case. Re-installed screw, closed up case. Set up the hardware and booted up and got through the initial setup screens. Powered it down to go to breakfast. Upon return from breakfast discovered that it will no power on, no fans no lights (with the excetion of the green light on the backside of the power supply.) Used multimeter to verify A/C power is good. Just want an RMA to return this boat anchor. Sent a message with all this same info to Woot support using the links on the web page.
