Windows 8.1 x64 Drviers

Hello woots.
I do NOT want Windows 8 or 8.1…
I want to buy one of those “high end” computers, but I want it to come with Windows 7.
Do any of your nicer (bigger, faster, mo betta) desktops come with Windows 7?
(I REPEAT: I DO NOT WANT Windows 8 or 8.1, or 8.xxx. )
I also want gazillions of GHz’s processor(s) speeds, GB’s of ram, TB’s of Storage, etc, etc, etc.

You are SO right, and I couldn’t agree with you more! I’ve seen good Core i7 systems here in the past with Win7, and other sites, as well.

Don’t worry for long, though. Windows 10 is out this summer, and will be welcomed by Desktop users. MS is seriously trying to distance themselves from Win8/8.1, just like they did that doggie version called Vista.

"Microsoft will launch Windows 10 world wide in summer of 2015. This is what Microsoft Program Manager for Windows, Terry Myerson had to say:

'We continue to make great development progress and shared today that Windows 10 will be available this summer in 190 countries and 111 languages.'

Cheers & Hope this helps. Also of interest!! To avoid users hanging on to older OS’s like so many of us did with WinXP, MS will be offering free upgrades to Win10 from Win7 & Win8/8.1 users for a reasonable length of time.

I transferred from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and I love it. Just install Classic Shell (removes that annoying Metro screen) and it is the same thing, with some better features like a better task manager.

Windows 8.1 is a better operating system in almost every way. Its one fatal flaw can be corrected with the installation of the free “Classic Shell” software.

I’m gonna be glad when I’ve heard the last of the complaining about Windows 8.

Amen. I especially can’t stand when people spend 2 minutes with it, and then say, “this is awful” because they don’t take the time to learn the improvements…

O M G - a disparaging word about Windows 8 …

…and the Fanbois come out of the woodwork.

Would it make you feel better if we agreed that Win8 wasn’t ‘quite as bad’ as Vista?! If MS recognizes Win8 as a marketing flop, why can’t you see it, too?

'nuff said
