Ordered one Mar 23 and the power supply skatt the bed about 2 weeks ago. Decent computer other then that and the fact it came with Win 8.
I paid $374 from Woot! for mine.
I bought a very similar machine from woot 13 months ago for the same price.
I’m thrilled with mine, but this one is better in a number of ways…
This is a solid computer for the money. Just one thing I’d point out. While the Kaveri integrated graphics are solid, HP likes to use single dimms, which means no dual channel memory speeds. This GREATLY hinders graphics performance.
I have this PC, and once I added a second memory dimm, the graphic performance increased a huge amount. So if you plan on gaming at all, don’t expect decent graphics performance without adding a 2nd dimm chip.
BTW - I also added a cheap SSD for the OS, and just use the HDD for storage. It ended up being a nice, all-around machine for the money after those two tweaks.

how much $$ to convert to 2nd dimm chip?
I pulled an extra dimm from another PC I had.
What about for the rest of us? Average/range of prices?
specs say PC3-12800. Amazon shows around $70-80 for a single 8GB stick of desktop memory
I actually had an extra PC that had 4x4gb (16 total). Originally I thought you needed equal amounts/sticks, but I pulled one of the 4gb sticks leaving one PC with 3x4gb and the HP 1x8gb+1x4gb. Both get full dual channel speeds.
Maybe on modern PCs, you just need 2 or more dimms.
The graphics processor has trouble keeping up playing League of Legends. Constantly get a display driver error and the screen crashes.
I just got one of these because the refurb price is too good to pass up! Updated partitioning and installed Linux in dual boot. Both OSes are running fine. I’m a software developer and don’t play games, so my graphics requirements are pretty low.
To those wondering if this system can handle high-end gaming, be realistic. Look at the price; you’ll pay more than that for a high-end graphics card. So, no, you can’t do high-end gaming on this system. Probably not even with an add-on graphics card, because the power supply is only 300W. But for every day use, this little PC is quiet and suitably quick.
