Oh my God. No. Not for more than 600 when even 500 would be overpriced. Integrated graphics on M1 work better, and for less power. If you want RTX special sauce, get a damn 3060 for (or under) MSRP on eBay.
@ThunderThighs not to be a bugbear, but I’m shocked at this listing; where do these boxes come from to be so fundamentally overpriced?
Represents the cost to us. Find it cheaper? Note it’s new.
Huh! The insight is appreciated!
I looked on HP’s website and although they no longer sell this model to the public. Vendors only on Amazon sell the thing for 1030ish, a Newegg seller is less;
Newegg - https://www.newegg.com/p/1VK-001E-4EJW3 - $868.99
However, a similar model is available from an Amazon seller but with a 3060 for less than this listing;
https://www.amazon.com/HP-Generation-i5-10400F-Processor-TG01-1183w/dp/B09N8Z5B37
I appreciate that each of these has half the standard storage and ram at 256gb vs 512gb and 8gb vs 16gb respectively, and what’s included is a boot drive; store core applications on it but expect to buy more storage regardless, and sticks of ddr4 clocked way higher go for $50ish per 16gb or so.
Competitively, I suppose this makes sense!
