Processor Info from Notebook Check

Unless you want something that will be totally obsolete real soon, avoid this. While its super nice that they offer a model with 8gb of RAM, it really doesn’t matter when you have such a weak processor and a slow hard drive. AMD’s in general are inferior to Intel’s and this ol A6 is about as fast as stevie wonder and ray charles racing tricycles with no wheels. While you don’t NEED a SSD, if your going to get a platter drive, at least get yourself one that spins at 7200 instead of 5400.

While I don’t care about screen resolution that much, this lappy is pretty weak. Then again, with a machine this slow, you’re probably not going to be running or watching anything that would need higher resolution.

The wifi card doesn’t support the newer faster AC technology. And while wireless N is fine for now, in the future as webcontent gets more data hungry, it’s going to get real slow.

Basically, this computer might be fine for the most basic functions right now. But pretty soon it will be outdated, slow and need to be replaced. My advice is to buy something a little better and get more life out of your purchase.

Ramsepride,
Do you seem very knowledgeable; do you have any reasonably priced suggestions? Mainly need to upgrade from an ancient Gateway laptop so that I can remote in to work.

laptop came. case is all beat up and the power cord was literally wet. i’m questioning if this was a good purchase.
