bought one during a prev woot, its quick and does jyst what I need. not a games pc, although t runs steam. ONLY real limitation is the 64GB ram w/ NO way to upgrade. If you add ram your not INCREASING your HD, but adding another “HD”

RAM and HD are 2 very different things. I appreciate what you’re getting at - the unit only comes with 64GB of storage. Limited, sure. Unless you have cloud storage. Or get that external drive out of your junk drawer.

This HP Probook has 4GB RAM and 64GB FLASH, which are the minimum I recommend for Windows laptops.

RAM is temporary storage. It is like how big is your car. More RAM allows you to open multiple apps or webpages. More RAM also allows you to run bigger programs.

FLASH/HDD/SSD are permanent storage. They are like how big is your house. They store your Windows OS, apps, and files. Budget laptops typically have 32-64GB FLASH. Mid-range laptops have 500GB-1TB HDD. Premium laptops have 128-512GB SSD or 128GB SSD + 1-2TB HDD.

To add more FLASH storage, I recommend Samsung EVO Plus/Select 128GB UHS-I Grade 3 micro-SDXC card. You simply insert it into a slot at the side on the laptop. This will give you more storage for files, so you may free up 64GB internal FLASH for Windows and apps.

This fast card can read upto 100MB/sec or write upto 90MB/sec. It is $37 at Amazon today, which is near its lowest price $35. Please make sure seller is Amazon, because some third-party resellers may alter slower cards to look like faster cards.

This HP Woot is a good refurbished covertible laptop, and I wish Woot please drop its price from $269 to $188 on Prime Day or Woot Birthday.

Today, Adorama via eBay is selling a bigger brand-new Asus 15.6” convertible for $360. It has i3 CPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB SSD; so it is about 2x faster than this HP Woot.

Last month, Refurbforless via eBay was selling a better brand-new HP 11.6” convertible for $369. It has i5 CPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB SSD; so it is about 3x faster than this HP Woot.
