Interesting Info…Maybe

This is the EXACT same desktop as the previous sale that just sold out.

The only difference is the shipping time. These will ship out in 3-5 days and then allow time for transit.

It’s a little quite in here… (crickets chirping)

It’s been 2 minutes!!

These just keep getting cheaper!

I posted a comment giving my experience the last time I saw this on the front page. Here’s a truncated version for any would-be upgraders:

Yes, it can fit a discrete video card as long as the shroud isn’t too long. EVGA and XFX cards should probably be avoided for this reason (they’re often like 9"+).

Yes, it can take a full ATX power supply. You’d better get dimensions though- depth is the most important. Too long and you’ll be bumping into your optical drive.

Yes, it will probably have 2 free RAM slots if you’re an insane person who wants more.

No, it doesn’t have Windows Media Center (what year is it.jpg).

Yes, Windows 8 is literally the devil and you should keep complaining about it.

Looks like you can’t add a second hard drive or a second DVD drive - it simply has no holders for them, and the front panel has no opening for a DVD add on drive. Might as well have a laptop.

What type of warranty comes with this computer?

I don’t know about that, I mean, it’s not meant to be, for instance some kind of freakish gaming rig where you can overclock 8 cores with 2MB cash and 2 threads each to 5.5ghz with water cooling and slap a few 4TBHDD’s and a 1TB SSD or so in, and then maybe connect a crazy ass dual GPU with 12GB total video memory, and hell, put 192GB of 2133MHZ overclocked DDR3L SDRam in there, cause why the hell not?

Lol, in all seriousness though, it is sort of a bummer that you can’t put another DVD or DVD Blueray drive in, but at the same time this computer is made for home entertainment, not poppin a entire kids quire season worth of CD’s out in 5 minutes at 24X like some kind of CD factory, but I get that some people might want 2 disks in there at once, a movie and a software disk, or something, that and this isn’t a bad rig for recording, accept maybe for the fan noise, but you’d probably want a more specialized piece of equipment to record CD’s or DVD’s with.

Not that many consumer desktops have an extra 5.25, but allot do have extra 3.5’s so yeah, it is a bit annoying about the lack of at least 1 extra empty bay.

This computers 2|TB drive would be offset perfectly with a small 32GB or so SSD as a boot disk, or even another main drive.

But really, if you want the extra speed of an SSD, your better off grabbing a computer with a processor and motherboard that will take full advantage of it, this one excels at what it’s made for, especially for the price, and at least the hard drive it comes with is higher quality and has a higher RPM and plenty of space.

But really for this little, who cares about stuff like that, it’s cool enough that it has so much space and does blueray.

You may find a laptop faster than this one, but I doubt even that for this price, and I seriously doubt you will find one with all these multimedia capabilities.

But hey,if you find one, I’d buy it in no time, smiles.

I believe it’s 1 year limited parts and labor and a 90 day return policy, but I don’t think it’s going to be much less than that.

This has a 90 day HP warranty. You also have the option to purchase a 1 year extended warranty through Square Trade.

If this had Windows 7 I’d buy 2

I was wondering if I was seeing double.

WINDOWS 8! Hssssss! Run Away!
