First page, and once again woot! did not sell out, even after all of the talk about them selling out all the time. Two straight days and woot! is left with their crap still in stock. Crappy toy cars and even crappier cameras are piled up somehwere, unsold. Once again, I need to be on record with the forcast of this site’s demise. I know I said it the last two days, but it is my experience that learning is made best by repetition. I just want to be totally sure that when all you losers find another blog to inhabit, you will remember my forcast and it will echo in your ears. I am not, incidentally, claiming not to be a loser myself, just for the record.

Strengths: Automatic Document Feeder that works well ,Hardware wise a good product

Weaknesses: HP Scanning software is SLOW and poorly integrated with 3rd party programs, Frequent Jams, non compatibility with Windows XP Home,

Setup program crashed at the end of installation. Had to run it again. The hardware itself works well, document feeder worked without any problems. Software is poorly designed. Biggest complaint is this scanner does not work with Paperport even though Paperport came bundled with unit. Front panel buttons were useless when trying to use with Paperport. HP support could not help. They said it was a Paperport problem. Paperport wants $20.00 up front just to talk to you. HP Director, the scanning software, is poorly designed and awkward to use. It is also very slow. I have had good luck with HP products up until this one. I do not recommend this scanner. I sent mine back to HP for a no hassle refund.
