is it open-boxed or used? which grade is this laptop?
“Refurbished” covers everything from buyers’ remorse returns and products whose defects have been repaired by the pros to damaged packaging and discontinued items. If you can accept their checkered past, refurbs have a lot of love to give.
Jeez, how fat/heavy is this thing?
The bulkinator called and stuff.
It’s really not nice to talk about weight, you know.
But it’s 6.2 lbs according to the specs.
Looks like its “g1” is the first generation, how they are available a few years after they came out? But i like the price, has a speedy processor too, just weight & bulky look.
wish my work would let me buy this. Looks like a good work laptop.
Looks like it uses the same docking station too.
I’m so tired of the slowness.
So does this monster (in terms of weight and specs) of a laptop have hdmi connection?
Your specifications listing doesn’t always include anything, so I have a question: Does it have an ExpressCard slot? It appears to, on the left side.
No, but it has DisplayPort. You can easily find adapters to HDMI.
Checking. Watch this post for an update.
Update: yes, it has an ExpressCard slot.
Is graphic card of this PC is 2 GB or 1GB?
It’s 1GB. I updated the features to match the title & specs.
I used the Zbook G2 for work for a year. It is great, but I can’t speak for the G1. this lacks an HDMI port, but adds a USB.
Looks solid enough, but could not for the life of me find a compatible docking station on ebay or amazon for the G1
This does have a webcam.
Alright- that rocks!!!
This is a solid laptop for the price assuming the condition is good on it, because it’s about 4 years old. The i7-4800MQ is still pretty potent (even at 4 yo), but realize the quadro graphics are not gaming cards, they’re are designed for autocad, CGI… I would definitely get this with the smaller SSD instead of the HDD for more performance. Good workstation laptop, not a gaming laptop- but condition plays a huge part. These are probably off lease from a company and can range is how hard they are used. Where I work, my laptop did nothing but sit on a shelf and gather dust (I used external monitors and keyboards and basically just used the laptop like a desktop). After 4 years of use, my laptop still looked brand new vs people that dragged their around day to day- those suckers were well worn. So if these are pristine in condition, and you need a workstation laptop- it’s a decent deal, otherwise pass.
