ROFL. I had my 6’5" son clean all the ceiling fan blades before he headed back to college.
My wife asked me to do some research on the concert breeze 52", and it actually sells for $299 direct from Hunter. Not sure how this is a good deal.
The only really good, energy efficient fans on the market are from Big Ass Fans. They even make a residential fan now called a Haiku.
I have Hunters some as long as 20 years that came from 1 home to another. I never have problems with them, all sizes, types and costs. These are very well priced and I won’t hesitate getting another Hunter especially here. Big Ass Fans as mentioned above, I never heard of and have no desire to find out about. Good luck with them, I stick to Hunters based on over 25 years of experience with them.
We checked on the 60" Hunter 28484 60-Inch Fellini Ceiling Fan, Cocoa and it’s $200 more everywhere else. We always get a 4 light fan, not a single. It’s never the main lighting in a room, it’s additional light overhead for those that feel it isn’t enough.
If you like a fan and not the lighting fixture, you can replace them reasonably. We have done it in the past and it’s not expensive depending on the light kit you get. We remove some of the lights on ours, we 30 pots on 5 switches in the ceiling of our family room, we don’t need more lighting. We have no lighting installed on our vacation home fans. It produces heat and regular lighting is more then enough. When we don’t use them, we do save the light kits in case we get a fan that we want to use it for.
I won’t comment on price, but I swear by hunter fans. I had several fans from other brands (usually hardware store brands) that came and went during the time my hunter has been running…20 years now and the only audible noise is of the air that is blowing…no motor noise. And to the person asking about the reverse motor, I would ASSUME that these fans all have that as the hunter I purchased was not an expensive model and there was a switch on the fan to change direction.
