Huntspoint Wagyu Ribeye Steaks

Huntspoint Wagyu Ribeye Steaks

This is a disturbing product. Violence against cows is wrong and I protest the sale of this product. Animals deserve to be free from violence and needless killing.

There’s no such thing as W grade Wagyu. This meat bears no resemblance to Wagyu beef.

Exactly! You beat me to posting the same thing. True Wagyu beef is graded 1 to 5. There is NO such this as a letter grade - especially a “W”. This beef looks like something I’d skip at the butcher. Wagyu beef has the fat marbled through the meat, not clumped up like this cut. This picture wouldn’t even make a grade 1 rating.

I’m all for eating meat (unlike the other nut posting), bit someone is either conning Woot! and Amazon, or the product buyer is in the wrong department all together.

if this is Wagyu, then pork is kosher.

W grade Wagyu will be full of flavor and be very juicy. It’s actually healthier because it doesn’t contain all that fat from marbling.

Wagyu without marbling aka regular beef.

If that picture represents what will be received, then save your $90, because that is NOT Wagyu beef. That is a standard cut of plain old beef. Shame on you, Woot!, for selling an obviously fake product.

I’m a Secondhand Vegetarian

Cow eats grass, I eat cow

I’m 100% Vegan. I only eat meat that is on a strict plant based diet. I have bought Huntspoint before and usually their stuff is pretty darn tasty. This looks more like fat than marbling.

The Image was a sample cutting from W Grade loin, although every loin is different and marbling may vary, these have been wet aged 30 days. The W grade may not be the most marbled wagyu, they will be tender, juicy and full of flavor. All the negative people should go online and spend $50 a pound if they choose to. This price point for wagyu is a very affordable option that is also healthier because of less fat in inter-muscular meat.

I wouldn’t even throw that 2nd picture in the crockpot without some SERIOUS trimming.

That looks like USDA choice.

We’ve had this “discussion” before.

Do. Not. Attribute. Health. Properties. To. Your. Products.

First, you’re wrong, and are using old science. Carbs = bad. Fat = good…even animal fats.

Second, people aren’t buying steaks for health anyway. They’re buying them for flavor and satisfaction. And less marbling = less flavor and satisfaction, not more.

Third, you’re setting yourself up for a lawsuit, after someone has a heart attack and blames it on your products, after they eat 15 pounds a day, never exercise, have horrible genes, and are 150 pounds overweight. But you did say your stuff is healthy - and they believed you…literally. Why even risk it? HORRIBLE practice, prima facie.

Is the W for Wario?

All cows should be set free to enjoy a wonderful life in the wild?

Actual USDA beef grading chart:

There is no W. On Either.

Are you selling an unlicensed, ungraded product? Or are you claiming a custom cut of some sort with a proprietary grading scale?

Any way you CUT it, you’re on a slippery slope for your importing or sales practice here. See the pun

Good luck

It would be nice if Huntspoint gave an equivalent grading to a known system.

Here’s the post from a previous sale:

We eat one of these last night. It was like chewing rubber bands. Very disappointed
