Yeah the reviews make this not look promising. Looks like it’s a lemon out of the box.

Agreed, glad I went through them. I plan on turning one of my two 16” MacBook Pros into a multi-monitor desktop setup in the next couple months, so I’m in the market for a dock.
It’s a huge discount on this model’s current mothership price - but per the reviews, still doesn’t seem worth it. Given those reviews, even if I got one that worked perfectly, I’d still be worried it’d eventually develop problems or fail in some way.

Docks are dicey. Just got a Satechi hub for my M2 Mini and the SSD and usb-c speed is atrocious. Even the SDXC speed is slow. Sending back with a
