But I don’t.
One of the most mis-stated phrases ever.
It is possible that I could care less about grammar. Grammar is important. It is not the most important thing, but it facilitates communication.
Only to be worn in joints catering to the higher end of spelling clientele ; )
But how much less could you care?
What does it say about me that my first thought is, “But that’s not grammar, that’s USAGE!”
That fits in Weird Al’s Word Crimes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gv0H-vPoDc
I could care less about grammar, but I’ve decided that it’s in my best interest to care more. It’s hard to make any other decision about the matter; My Mom’s a retired English teacher. If I say anything incorrectly, I hear about it. lol
While this is one of my pet peeves, this is not really a grammar issue but a logic issue. People who say “I could care less” when they really want to say that they don’t give a damn, have a problem with logic, not grammar. So my t-shirt would say: “I could care less about logic”.
Writing “it’s” instead of “its” is probably the most common grammar mistake.
So, do you think there are less (no wait, “fewer”) people making the first mistake? :o)
Fitting it’s in grammar-police blue.
This needs to be in a car sticker too!!!
Anyone have any advice on sizing an American Apparel unisex tank?
