I Made a Difference!
I am not allowed to have favorites as the Head Cereal Guy here. But this one would totally be my derby favorite if I was allowed to have one.
Very small relationship to politics - the button. HR refers to Human Resources.
Please feel free to use the ātattleā button on designs you feel arenāt meeting the guidelines, our team can handle offline too, thanks!
Aww, shucks, Iām so disappointed for the rejection. And with the election coming, this was sooo timely!
Porkyroebuck, I canāt tell you how glad I am that youāre here to help enforce the rules of the Derby. If not for you and your diligence, Iām sure half these shirts wouldnāt have been rejected until Monday morning. Great job! Thanks for helping to protect Shirt.Woot from printing shirts that reflect poorly on their art curation!
While youāre at it, it would be great if you could also help protect Shirt.Woot from an even more insidious menace: STOLEN ART!
Yes, itās hard to believe, but sometimes, shirt designers use stolen art in their shirt designs.
Hereās an example:
This shirt was sold in a Woot Off, I think, and did pretty well, as I recall:

However, that artwork was stolen! I know, hard to believe, right? Who would do that? But hereās the original artwork it was stolen from:

Pretty blatant, right? And this is just one example. I could produce a lot more, if you know what I mean.
So, yeah, if youād follow up on those stolen designs and track them down, Iām sure Shirt.Woot (and all of us, really) would appreciate your sincere effort to bring an end to submission of stolen designs. If you know what I mean.
You can start by tracking down the miscreant who submitted the shirt in the example above and give that art thief a stern talking to as youāve done in these comments in this Derby.
And thanks! Given your passion for lecturing others on the Derby rules, I know we can count on you to do the right thing. If you know what I mean.
Haha. For some reason my mind went to human rights.
This is quantiflibly awesome. Iām sad to see it suffer the fate of rejectionation. @wajeremy could definitely pull some strings to make sure it hits at least a side sale.
Hahaha alas, except for being able to make the site crash, I donāt have that kind of power. Our Shirt art team are folks of integrity and fairness and cannot be coerced in any way, no matter how many donuts I bribe them with, errr, I mean no matter how many times I ask nicely. I canāt even get a BoC! But hopefully we will get a derby thatās more directly relevant so acraigl can resurrect this treasure.
I subbed it as a daily, so hopefully that will produce some goodness. As @cwolfpack3 said, the timing was kind of perfect. I donāt know if it will play as well, say, in a month, but it made me laugh, so hopefully others will appreciate the humor as well.
When the Forums migrated, the join dates got reset.
They will be fixed in the (near) future, but until then, everybody has a recent join date.
You took the words right out of my mouth.
I did? Ewww!
As far as I can tell, they are not the same person. Completely different areas of the country.
Letās settle down and stop the personal attacks.
@porkyroebuck. THIS is a personal attack. Making biased charges with no evidence.
That āThighs Staff personā is really great at doing her job. I hope Woot pays her well, because we never want to lose her.
Oh right. Sorry.
I plan, completely, to keep an eye out, or be watchful, of, and for, excessive comma use.
When, you, use too many⦠commas, and other, punctuation. In the wrong places. You. Sound. Like. Captain Kirkā¦
