Someone please read the online reviews for this company before ordering. I had an absolutely horrific experience with them which involved hours on the phone, units sent without vital things attached/clanking around in the casing, and at the end of the day just having to get my money back through my credit card company after 2 defective units and 90 days of haggling.
Never doing business with them again, don’t care if the CEO gives me his personal cell phone number and sends the largest possible Swiss Colony gift basket to my place. Crappy parts, zero workmanship, and a customer “service” department manned by chimps on meth. I gave a fuller description the last time IBuyPower was shilled here and don’t have time to re-type it this AM, but do stay away from this “deal.”
So… if comes with a recovery CD, but no optical drive?
Thanks! I appreciate your candor. You’ve kept me from making a hair-pulling mistake.
For a PC so visually appealing to new PC gamers, it really is anemic.
You’d be lucky to be able to run low to medium settings on most games.
You’re buying a VERY pretty Ford Pinto here.
All show, and no go.
I’ve bought two PCs from iBUYPOWER, and have had mixed results. The first was from them directly, and the overall assembly had a bit of a cheap feel, but all seemed OK. I had a video card fail and I contacted them, and they sent a replacement which I swapped out. The way the system was assembled it was difficult to get the card to seat properly, but it did work.
A few years later Woot! had a sale on systems from them, and I bought one, and while it still had a bit of a cheap assembly feel, it hasn’t had any issues so far, and it’s been about 2 years.
Even though I didn’t have terrible experiences, if I were shopping for a new system, they wouldn’t be at the top of my list because of the cheap feel and limited support options.
As far as this system goes, it’s clearly a mid-range system, with the RX 460 being a pretty low-end card. I wouldn’t expect this to be a serious gaming rig, just a reasonable system for playing games at lower detail levels.

iBuyPower - I note that all your i7/M250 rigs have 2xPCIe x16 slots, is this PC an exception? (Which mobo is it?)
Hi Bluevideo,
For this model it uses a B250M-HDV motherboard which includes 1 PCIe 3.0 x16, 2 PCIe 3.0 x1. Thanks for addressing this and we will have the specifications updated!
