What is a terminator?
In a smoke-filled bar.
They shouldnât meet at all. If they do itâs a problem.

Right here?

Theyâll meet in junkyard heaven in due time ![]()
And âNever the train shall meetâ
122.7 miles East of Toledo
The train will collide with the bus at an unmarked crossing in rural western PA and almost everyone on the bus will die and the Dutch will make a sad movie about the survivors.
Is this where the Woot birthday party will take place?

I voted that I want going to figure it out a and I kept my word. I had Googleâs Circle-to-Search AI solve it.
AI Overview To solve this problem, we need to know the distance between Toledo and Pittsburgh. By road, the distance is approximately 232 miles.Step 1: Establish the Distance Covered Before the Second Vehicle StartsTrain (Toledo): Starts at 8:00 AM, traveling East at 50 mph.Bus (Pittsburgh): Starts at 8:30 AM, traveling West at 60 mph.By 8:30 AM, the train has been traveling for 30 minutes (0.5 hours).(50\text{\ mph}\times 0.5\text{\ hours}=25\text{\ miles})At 8:30 AM, the distance remaining between them is:(232\text{\ miles}-25\text{\ miles}=207\text{\ miles})Step 2: Calculate the Meeting TimeSince they are traveling toward each other, their relative speed is combined:(50\text{\ mph}+60\text{\ mph}=110\text{\ mph})The time it takes to cover the remaining distance after 8:30 AM is:(207\text{\ miles}\div 110\text{\ mph}\approx 1.88\text{\ hours})(1.88\text{\ hours}\approx 1\text{\ hour\ and\ }53\text{\ minutes})Meeting Time: 8:30 AM + 1 hour 53 minutes = 10:23 AMStep 3: Calculate the Meeting LocationTo find where they meet, calculate how far the train has traveled from Toledo:Trainâs total travel time: 30 mins + 1 hour 53 mins = 2 hours 23 mins ((2.38\text{ hours}))Distance from Toledo: (50\text{ mph} \times 2.38\text{ hours} \approx 119\text{ miles})They will meet approximately 119 miles east of Toledo at 10:23 AM.
Apparently copy/paste doesnât keep the formatting and Iâm too lazy to correct it, so⌠SUFFER!!!
I beg to differ.
You are incorrect, if you compare my calculations to yours, you will see your error. I donât have time to point it out, but Iâm sure youâll find your error if you give a cursory glance. ![]()
Now⌠one might say they will never meet since one is a train and travels by rail and the other is a bus and is on the highway, but I suspect they will meet somewhere in the vicinity of Cleveland where the bus will stall out while crossing the tracks only to be slammed into by the train which will not have time to stop.
Isnât math fun???
It all depends on what the meaning of the word âmeetâ is
