OK, as promised, live from Tinto central. Unfortunately I can’t attribute typos to the vino yet, blame it all on the dumb iPod.
So, first impression, a bit tart/acidic, rather than tannic. But subsequent sips did cause some puckering, we realized it was somewhat tannic. And at first, it didn’t show much fruit, but it was more noticeable as we plowed through our appetizers. It’s not bad, but not sure I’d buy again if I didn’t have a gang of people who will share the order.
It makes a fabulous Tinto de Verano! Using a 50/50 mix with a sparkling lemonade from France that I think I picked up at the Whole Foods. Perfect degree of sweetness, meaning not very. Yum.
PS we just bought a case of wine and a Chromebook – did I imply I hadn’t had much to
drink? I may need to issue a correction.
