Important Update on the BOC!

No!!! Even though I haven’t been able to acquire said BOC recently, I still get excited when they pop up. The BOC’s are so much fun!!!

Karnac moment:
The BOC will morph into themed mystery boxes. Easier to get with disappointment on an exponential level. Each time you buy one, the disappointment doubles.

I love the absolute randomness of the current BOCs. The “mystery box” of some specific topic will ruin that. I’ve got a fair sized extended family/friends network. I usually can find an appreciative receiver for at least 1/2 the BOC stuff. I usually also find a tidbit or little treasure for me. The rest I donate to a thrift shop or other. Once, with a whole bunch of appliance light bulbs I drove to a local appliance repair shop and offered them. After the guys there realized I was serious and not selling anything, they were quite appreciative.

I sincerely hope the hinted-at changes are at least something along the general theme of current BOCs.

I do understand corporate necessity to change business plans occasionally, and promise I won’t whine and carp. But will just quietly go away if the new product isn’t fun/useful to me/semi-economical .

So this is a conundrum… I am out of BOC jail on Sunday. Do I try for one last classic BOC if something pops up and risk being in jail for the big birthday party OR do I wait and risk extra disappointment with the changes?

For a reasonable fee, you’ll be able to purchase early turd check-in. This will allow you to try to purchase a BOC before others without early turd check-in. “Good” items will sell first leaving the later BOC purchasers fighting over scraps.

I checked with my made-up legal team and they stated that the 31 day BOC jail is for the BOC only. No BOC, no 31 day jail.

Good points. I did get a white/yellow duckie, so maybe I will hold off and be the first to try the new. It won’t be easy to wait!
