k… so for those of you who bought this before… is it worth it? Am I gonna be disapoimted in quality n’ such? I’m just asking cause… I’m tempted to buy. I quickly reseached projectors… and a good one is 30grand. This is 400 bucks… so again I ask
after I watch my first movie… am I gonna be happy or is it just a bigger version of what I already have? I seriously HATE not having a return option - so tempting… have cash will buy… is it worth it?

I wish I needed one of these, so I could justify buying it.
When you consider that a 4000 hour replacement lamp is $300, the projector is almost free.

What I hope that the next version has code in it to not allow sites like the one you hawk each and every day to not be posted there. All the spam and con sites could be put in a database and just replaced with random sites (i.e. BigUns.com, et.al.)

I bought this the last time they sold it. I LOVE it! Don’t believe every criticism you hear about it, it is GREAT, better than many other projectors I’ve seen and for the price, it is AWESOME! Rated best projector for your money at projectors.com or wherever it was. You can get the bulbs for $200 and they last 4,000 hours (my bulb had 0 hrs used on it). Now, to put this in perspective, if you used it for 4 hrs a day (that’s a freaking lot of TV!!! GET A LIFE!!!) It’s still going to take almost 3 years before your bulb runs out. You can get new bulbs for this projector for $200 = roughly $0.05/hr. I swear Electric Bills run at a higher cost! lol The cost is worth it. You will read some Critics say that you get a “Rainbow effect” This is a bunch of bull. What they are talking about is if you keep your head still and run your eyes back and forth EXTREMELY fast (and I mean you need like 10 cups of coffee to be able to go fast enough) then you will see a quick line of all the colors of the rainbow. It is so quick it’s impossible to notice unless you are looking for it. Of 10 people, only 2 people I know have been able to see it and that is only after several minutes of trying to flick eyes back and forth from one side of the 10 ft screen to the other several times. Do not let this influence your decisiion, you will never see it unless you have eye problems, and even then you have to look for it because it only shows one tiny line for 1/100th of a second so it doesn’t affect the rest of the screen anyway.
I’ve used it to play Unreal Tournament 2004 off my computer, I watch movies on it, play XBOX (HALO 2 parties) and many other things. Sometimes my wife and I project the screen on the ceiling and lay in bed watching TV right above us. This thing is awesome. The fan is almost unnoticable. I had the option of trading this one in for the 4805. . . I totally wanted to keep this one, it’s better, and cheaper! It can handle just about any resolution I’ve given it so far on my computer. Right now I have it running at 1280 X 1024. Very portable, mine came with a manual, remote and even a carrying case. It keeps track of how many hours you use it, so you can tell how close to the 4,000 hrs you’re getting.

Not enough lumes for good movie watching. You would really need a dark room for it. The resolution is okay. This one is really good for data presentations.

I’m beginning to think that Petermans either works at Woot, has an interest in Woot or is a family member or close friend of the Wootlerteriate. I can’t think of any other reason why GC and Snapster would let him continue to pander his crapwares.
