Intel Core i9-14900KS 6.2 GHz Box

Intel Core i9-14900KS 6.2 GHz Box

Why does this say Box? Is it just the box? Is Woot doing ebay scams now?

Almost ordered! Good eyes. Description says:

*High-quality material

  • Durable
  • robustness

Sounds like description of a very nice box :joy:

The term “Box” in this case means it comes in a retail box as apposed to “OEM” which ships in like a piece of sturdy plastic. It’s the same thing but may be a little less for an OEM version. OEM doesn’t look too pretty on the retail shelf and wouldn’t stand up anyway.

Ahh thanks for the clarification! Just making sure… are you speaking as a Woot rep or just someone who knows their way around retail boxes?

Hi there. These are being obtained from Amazon inventory so we don’t have a lot of information. Here it is on Amazon. There may be more information there.

Yeah, the issue with the link you shared is that it’s a sketchy third-party seller listing. According to the description, they’re probably selling just the empty product box for $800, and the seller has around 46% 1-star ratings. You guys don’t source your products from third-party sellers like that, right? Hopefully you can shed some light on this one. And you guys might’ve copy pastad from the wrong link.

Correct link would be this one, one with the proper description: Amazon.com: Intel® Core™ i9-14900KS Desktop Processor 24 cores (8 P-cores + 16 E-cores) : Electronics

we’re not selling the inventory from that seller. They’re shipping their own product. These are shipped from an Amazon warehouse. We are selling some inventory from this ASIN/SKU. There are other sellers on that ASIN as well.

Here’s the other sellers from the Amazon listing that shows Amazon as shipping.

Honestly, this is a pretty good deal. I’ve been watching between this and 14900K to see which I can get a better deal with. New Egg has (or maybe had) the 14900k for just under $400 earlier this week. I haven’t seen 14900KS below $500 at all. I need to see if I can shift some funds around to get this. Might have to wait till pay day next Friday. Hopefully it doesn’t sell out before then.

@ThunderThighs are purchases through Woot! Covered by the Complete Protect Plan through Amazon?

I’m sure you realize it would be $439 today if you csn swing it (after the 20% off/$40 max discount) versus $479 come next pay day though, right?

But also I understand funding limitations too…

Funding did not come through. Holding my breath until Friday.

Want me to order this for you, and then you could pay me back?

Mine came in today. I’ve inspected the packaging seals and the chip itself, and I can confirm it is 100% brand new. Hope this clears up any concerns!

I could never ask that of you but thank you for offering.

If you change your mind, let me know.

awe that’s so nice of you, gives me warm feelings :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Now i just wish they knocked off 40$ like they did on first day after seeing people confirming it’s the real deal. I cancelled my order after seeing wrong description. Feels bad once i had the deal and now i have to pay 40$ extra.

You snooze you lose. I’m in the same boat but only because I didn’t have the funds at the time.

Just waiting for my paycheck to hit my account and I’m placing my order.

Snooze? Look at the description. It still has wrong description. Sturdy. High quality. Robustness. Like wtf is that?

Sure, but after @ThunderThighs confirmed the listing it was a surefire deal. shrugs

Ordered mine today. Yay!
