For $50 more new it may be worth getting it at Costco with their amazing return policy:

I’ve used these before - they are certainly loud and great for a party

I almost ordered 2 of these here thinking they were the same model as the ones at Costco which can be linked together for stereo sound, but these are an earlier model which do not seem to have that capability.

iPA56C here vs. iAP76C there

We’re been using this at Toastmaster meeting to practice using a mic while doing a presentation.

I have the same one; also purchased as refurbished from Amazon. Great for announcements at small parties, and the Bluetooth connection is great for hooking up an iPod Touch or iPad, or any Bluetooth enabled phone. The radio is fine - reception for nearby stations is good, but I’ve only used it to test the feature. I love the battery feature. It can run for HOURS off a full charge.

Caveats - it’s more for a small party that a large audience, it’s loud enough but not that loud. Also, it is small but heavy. Which is actually a nice feature as it keeps it stable.

Bought this from Woot, returned it. Needed it for a small dance studio. It distorts at a rather low volume. Terrible.

***** Could I use this to hard-wire to my Optima Projector??? ***** for which I am trying to find a viable/hearty solution?

I bought one of these from Woot a few months ago, and I love it! It’s louder than a boom box, with nice enough sound. Great at the beach, by the pool, handy at Burning Man around camp. Works well as the sound for a projector for my work’s backyard movie night. I love that the charge lasts for days and days, and charging ones devices from USB on top is a massive convenience.

Our homeowners association purchased one of these from Costco a couple of years ago, and it truly ROCKS. The battery is impressive. We used it on Labor Day this year for a full party, then put it away without recharging. Someone borrowed it again in early October and found that the power cord was missing - but the Block Rocker was able to play for their whole 5-hour long party without issue. It’s big, heavy, loud enough for a party, and simple to use.

THANKS! That’s exactly what I want it for and it’s a great price.

Bought one of these previously on woot. Very loud and good quality sound. Battery lasts a long long time. It also has USB ports for keeping your phone or playing device charged while you stream music via Bluetooth…very useful. We use this for pool parties and like and it is more than loud enough. Also bought some wireless mics for the kiddies so they can sing and play around on the device. Would recommend and buy again. One con…no bass or treble controls.

anybody?
Roughly what does this thing weigh?

Well, shipping weight on Amazon states 34.8lbs. So, probably around there somewhere.

Thanks… hadn’t thought to check Amazon… couldn’t find it on the company data page…

Ha! That made two of us.
