This is a good value. Mine saved the day at a bowling alley birthday party last week.
I only have two minor complaints:
1.) Base/Treble controls would have been nice.
2.) Ground loop noise if you try to power a chromecast (and probably anything else physically connected to aux-in) from the onboard USB ports while also listening to it.
A $5 ground loop isolator from Amazon can mitigate this.
I purchased this the last time. I highly recommend it. I never write reviews usually, but I must say it is well worth the price. The microphone did not work when I recieved it. Ion sent a replacement mic within 3 days. You get more than what you pay for!!!
I bought this a few months back and I love it!!! The new ones for sale at BJs also have lighting that goes with the music… A pretty cool feature!!! But I love the convenience and portability of this device!!!
Bought the Block Rocker MAX at Costco for about $40 more on Sat. and it has 100 Watts. Amazing sound and battery life. Volume is incredible. Don’t know about the 50 watt version.
These are a great value. The sound isn’t high fidelity, but it’s plenty adequate for an outdoor movie screening or setting up music at an outdoor family get-together. The battery is a sealed lead acid battery, and if you don’t know how to maintain a sealed lead acid battery you can kill the battery in this very easily, and you’d probably think the battery sucks. But if you take the time to learn how SLA batteries need to be maintained, you ought to be able to get 1000+ of cycles out of this one and cheap replacements once it finally does crap out. SLA batteries like being topped off and left at peak charge. SLA batteries don’t like being drained down to empty.
Bought this at a previous Woot and love it. Perfect for providing music at a large party or event. Recently used at my daughters going away party and it filled a large hall.

Bought this on a previous woot and used it at an outdoor family reunion and it could be heard easily throughout the pavilion and over the din of conversations. By the end of the event we were using it for karaoke sing-alongs with the included mic and the Amazon streaming music app w/X-ray lyrics.
Love love love my block rocker. Has adequate sound when outside. Can’t wait to try it in the school hallway with 200 middle schoolers. Highly recommend.
