The pictures are nice. Unfortunately, this item is an absolute piece of junk. Mine just arrived. The manufacturer’s shipping box was placed inside a much larger Amazon box with the addition of 1 piece of packing paper. (One end of the manufacturer’s shipping box had a tear and extra packaging tape, indicating this item might have been a return.)
The pizza peel was wrapped in wrapping paper. When I slid it out of the box, I could tell it was broken. A glue joint failed. There are no dowels or biscuits to try and strengthen the joint. The 2 pieces don’t fit together, except a the ends. The edges are not straight. There is a gap that is about 1/8 inch thick.
Make sure you contact customer service. They’ll have some options for you. Here’s the blurb.

That’s unfortunate, because the one I received I am surprised and impressed by. Hopefully I wont run into the same issue as you in the future, but for now it seems to still be sturdy and of good quality.
I’m very glad you had a better experience. I suggest you avoid washing it with soap and water. I am perplexed why the pieces are so far from fitting together. Maybe, someone selected 2 mismatched pieces from a pile of returned damaged units.
