IRWIN Tools Metal and Wood Recip Blade, 8in

IRWIN Tools Metal and Wood Recip Blade, 8in

Can anyone confirm if these blades will fit this tool? Tool site says takes any Hackzall or Sawzall blades, but no mention if this item is interchangeable.

@Narfcake knows a ton, maybe this too?

It’ll fit. Milwaukee just uses Hackzall and Sawzall as their trademarked name for their reciprocating saws. The blades themselves are standardized.

The listing describing a bi-metal blade is inaccurate and the listing photo which shows an Irwin 372810 bi-metal blade does not correspond to the product that I received which has part number IWAR810 and has faded printing on it in. Both are 8 inches (203 mm), but the material may be different (IWAR810 might be non-cobalt steel, so not bi-metal?).

Furthermore, the back side of the blade I received has areas where paint is missing, possibly indicating quality-control issues or maybe that this is a counterfeit item. In either case, I am a bit disappointed, Irwin is usually considered to be a reputable brand which is supposedly owned by Stanley Black & Decker.

I bought some of these too. The part number on the blade is correct; the blades are bi-metal and are correct. 372810 is the part number used from the multi-packs, which reading the Amazon reviews, at one point these were a 50-pack of blades. As they were originally bulk packed, some scuffs are inevitable. These are blades, not show pieces. They will get scuffed up in use anyway.

If you look at this 5-pack sold at White Cap, a commercial-only construction supply chain, you’ll see that the “372810” blades have a IWAR810 part number too.
