I think a burp should be encouraged. My wife would disagree.

If I’m all alone (okay, not counting the dog), I don’t hold back. But I prefer to keep my internal gasses private when anyone else is in the vicinity.

I have a deep, dark confession:

I can’t burp. I can only occasionally have tiny almost burps escape at random. My mom was the same way.

I happened across a Hank Green video pretty recently where he mentioned it as a real medical thing called No Burp Syndrome. I had no idea.

So, anyway. Burp if ya gotta but try to not do it in anyone’s face, pretty please.

There’s a time and place for all bodily functions
Some acceptable some not!

As long as it’s not obnoxious, sure.

It really depends on how many words you can get out during the burp…

One of my brothers can have entire conversations in burp mode. It’s really kind of amazing.

Depends, in a public setting, unacceptable.

There are times when it’s unavoidable. The question is, “What is the context?” In some company a burp is not only acceptable, it’s a status symbol. In other places, it is considered rude and vulgar. I try to avoid both of the for mentioned. I prefer the company of those who don’t care either way.

I agree, time and place is important.

It is a natural body function though.
