Jabra C820s Noise Canceling Headphones

hmm already got these during the VIP event

they look good, feel good, and sound great! haven’t worn them on a plane yet so I can’t say whether they’re awesome there too, but they’re great on the street!

What’s this VIP thing all about?

feeling unimportant :frowning:

OH - forgot to mention…
I plugged them into my 60Watt guitar amp and played some low notes and the things literally shook my ear drums to where I had to immediately take them off and wiggle my finger in my ears to stop the itch. You know what i mean?
So, BASE? um, yeah!

D

Got 2 of these from the VIP offer … overall I found them to be very good, especially for price. They don’t (to me) have quite the same level of quality noise canceling as say, Bose, but again … look at the price tag! Sound quality is slightly better than good; not quite ‘great’. I would highly recommend them to frequent air travelers and parents with numerous noisy children  You don’t want to walk around town with these plugged into your MP3 player, they’re too heavy for that and frankly you’ll look like a dork!

For $60, I seriously doubt you’ll find a better deal than these. 70% of Bose QuietComforts for 1/6 the price. GET IN NOW BEFORE THEY’RE GONE

meh. They didn’t send one to me. Well, see if I buy another Roomba…

I’m sure it compares very well to Bose, but Bose makes some of the poorest quality equipment at outrageous prices. Jabra actually has a good reputation for headsets, which may or may not be well deserved, but either way, I’d never buy Bose.

Anyway, it’s pretty hard to screw up regular cup headphones, especially for $60. These have noise cancellation, which adds significantly to the value if it works…anything else like good passive noise reduction and good bass response would just be added bonuses. My only real concern is fit and durability…time to research…

Can you use these as hearing protectors also? noisy shop, but needs music…

The people who bought the Zune I believe got one. I did.

I bought these with the VIP and was really impressed. With someone that lives on airplanes I love pulling these out and showing the guys up next to me with the bose. Great buy…

haha, me too. got in just before the update.

What’ the VIP offer?

For anyone willing to spend this much on headphones, I would definitely check out Sennheiser HD-280 Pros.

dang, i didn’t realize the coupon code had an expiration date.

I’m wounded that I didn’t get the VIP offer. I woot myself silly on a regular basis. Guess I’ll go cry myself to sleep now.

Man, I felt really special when I got that email giving me the link to this with that coupon…Now, I’m still excited to get my headphones…but I wish that it wasn’t a regular woot now as well, seems a bit cop-outish…

Mine haven’t left Texas, according to Fedex… though they were supposed to be delivered 2 days ago.

Will the coupon still work for these? Since they are still the same phones?

its hard to tell from the pics, but does anyone know how big these are?? are they over the ear, or on the ear headphones???

If you want to see actual ebay prices just check the completed listings box on the left. They are selling much cheaper than this on ebay. Buy it now prices don’t tell you jack. http://cgi.ebay.com/Jabra-C820s-Noise-Canceling-Headphones-Brand-New_W0QQitemZ300173453213QQihZ020QQcategoryZ88761QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Also Byeredynamic DT 770’s are prolly my fav isolating headphones, sound great and block everything (just ask my GF).

Also, I realize these Jabra cans are more than isolating. I just figure that if closed headphones offer the same level of isolation as “Active” noise canceling headphones I would just as well go with the better sounding less likely to tarnish the original sound cans. Also the price points are vastly different. 2bits
