I purchased one last time Woot had this on sale. I’d advice against it.

It showed up in packaging with no cushioning. When I opened the box, the speaker was dented. I figured whatever as long as it works I don’t really care. Sure enough, after it’s first use, the speaker would not charge. I tried using the usb wire, and the charger. Both did not work.

When I contacted woot, they wanted me to purchaase a new one, and when they received the old one, they would credit me (which I thought was a ridiculous return policy).

Then on top of that, if they deemed it wasn’t sent properly, or that the device wasn’t faulty, they would charge me a restocking fee.

This really made me change the way I felt about woot.

In the long run, they offered me a $30 refund and I opted to deal with the speaker issue through Jambox, who were much more helpful.

I have been impressed with this speaker at a friend’s house but I am having serious difficulties with buying anything from Woot anymore because of exactly what the prev. poster pointed out. 3 of the last 4 purchases have had no cushioning or physical damage and Woot support wants to argue or tell me this is my fault instead of helping or even hearing me out.

I miss the days when Woot was a fresh new face, eager to please. Now Woot feels like a jaded 30 year DMV veteran…hardened against pity or compassion and actively seeking a reason to send you somewhere, anywhere else. I think I may stop checking Woot anymore =/…sad to say but even refurb deals are pretty identical to all other deal sites and I havent seen anything that has gotten me really excited in over a year aside from merch I can find for the same price with free shipping elsewhere. Even Baskets of Candy suck now for the most part :frowning:

UPDATE (REGARDING PACKAGING):

The refurb jambox packaging was fixed to be overboxed.
The NEW items for sale today are retail boxed and overboxed for shipping.
