I love my Charge 3, a similar but not too similar speaker from JBL. JBL makes great equipment.

This is a great deal. Too bad I’m broke, or I’d buy 10.

Just in time for the Xtreme 2 release.

That thing is huge!

Just too big for me.

I just got the Extreme 2 (green beast) at the local military Exchange. 149.00 (no tax). It was the last one. I got the feeling someone might have miss-marked it but it sounds pretty good. It sounds best when you put it on the floor, close to a corner. It is kinda big and my kid has the Flip. It sounds pretty good to. Again, my only con is, this thing is pretty large for a “take to the beach” sound source.

Looks like 5" diameter by 11" long.

Hi there. Our specs link took a nose dive so we’ve added specs, including dimensions, to the specs tab.

Is there a reason for not telling us the model number?

Xtreme is the model. When it comes to replacement parts, the Serial number would differentiate TL/GL.

Are the rechargeable batteries easily replaced by common sizes? My older BT speaker will no longer hold a charge, and the battery ‘pack’ cannot be readily sourced for replacement.

I searched on the JBL product page and they said, “The JBL Xtreme is an exchange-only product and the battery is not sold separately or as a replacement part.”

That’s what she said?

Back in the 70s we used to joke that JBL stood for “Just Big & Loud.”

Thanks! Unfortunately that makes this a no-go for me.
