great knives, i have the 9 piece set that i got for around $300 and change. a few i dont use so i would have much rather bought this set + the slicing knife separate.

There are knives that are only meant for cutting vegetables? I’ve never heard of that. I’m in for one set, and I intend to cut pretty much anything edible with mine.
just wash them nice and carefully if you cut raw meat with them and then want to cut vegetables…
There are knives designed for cutting vegetables rather than meat, but you can use them on meat.
Neither of these knives are those.
As craigthom has already pointed out, are there knives “meant” for cutting vegetables? Absolutely. A Japanese nakiri comes to mind. A western paring knife might be more commonplace.
Are there knives that are only “able” to cut vegetables? I doubt it. Mistreat any knife, and you’re liable to cut yourself. And the last time I checked, no one is made out of vegetables. Except that one guy who was half tree.
Does anyone know the best way to sharpen these?
Got mine today. Very nice, talk about sharp! I’m very happy about what I got for the price. Will keep an eye out for more on Woot in the future. I saw online, Amazon I think, where you can buy blade protectors, that’s my next purchase.
