I’ve used one of these for about 10 years. Absolutely love it and the software that comes with it.

Each of the buttons is configurable, as are the top and bottom “chord-clicks”.

Picked one up recently in an earlier Woot!, haven’t had a chance to use it much so far. Just posting a word of advice - if you don’t run as administrator, their configuration software that you download needs to run as administrator. It looks like it should be working if you don’t, but doesn’t actually change anything. But if you launch as administrator it works just fine. (Win10, not sure about MAC or others.)

Good luck!

i wonder if this thing would work with MAME to play missile command

I have one of these at work. It’s ok. The main complaint I have is that the scroll ring is pretty loose.

Not impressed.
I should have recognized that the ergonomics of the 4 big buttons wouldn’t be natural, but was blinded by the numerous positive reviews.
Build quality is very poor, the scroll ring feels like it’s always rubbing on its own housing, and there even seems to be some mold flash or something that has produced a “spur” on the ring that catches in some gap inside and makes it want to hang while rotating.
It’s terrible that within 5 minutes of unboxing I was already thinking of what fixed would be required to make it operate in a manner worthy of a $40 plus input device.
I’ll try Kensington’s warranty department. I cannot recommend this product at this time.
