Where are you finding these Chinese Kershaws?
Mine are all made in USA, except the one I got from Woot a while ago…

Kershaw has knives being made in China & the USA. All of their knives where made in the USA at one point but now only a portion of them are still made here. More of their budget knives are being made in China in order to stay competitive.

Apparently I deliberated too long before pulling the trigger on the Kershaw Blur :frowning:

You and me both. :frowning:

I have the Kershaw Black Gulch. Looks like the Black Colt with a cast body and no finger grooves. 4.3 oz versus the Black Colt’s 3.7, though I don’t imagine it will affect performance much.
First thing I would do with the blade is touch up the blade freehand on a 800+ grit abrasive and strop, because it isn’t quite sharp out of the box.

I bought my second ever Kershaw from Woot about 2 years ago. It’s been a fantastic knife. Since then, NY has made anything with a point on it illegal (including chopsticks, don’t go to a Chinese restaurant and ask for chopsticks…for the love of god). Even though I’m forever sad that I couldn’t buy this, I’m glad that I’m not buying the Chinese version. Woot, stoppit. right now!
