Great reviews (4.7 out of 5.0) on the Kershaw 1077 over at KnifeCenter.com

These are real knives. Serious. No foolin’ tool steel that keeps a frighteningly sharp edge. Good handles. I bought one of these a few years ago, and am totally spoiled now. No more cruddy machetes made from a stamped piece of 1/8in bar stock, I gotta have a serious blade when I’m facing the unruly blackberries and zombies in the back yard.

In for one more.

Debated between the two sizes and decided on1077 which based on the same thickness and shorter length will make a stouter knife.

Once Woot shipping is figured, it’s not much of a sale.

I got the 10" for $35.96 back in June from Amazon. Nice weight to it and made quick work of some inch thick green branches in the back yard. Almost want to buy a 2nd one for a buddy.

Also these require light oiling to keep the edge from rusting. Not has robust as 1095 but I have yet to nick mine. Decent chopper for the price.

I bought this a little over a year ago. It’s my go to for a bigger knife when I’m in the woods. Good weight in your hand and SHARP.

Bought the 10 incher a year or two ago from Woot. I had no need for it, but that’s the best time to buy a serious knife. It’s a scary looking weapon. When I take it out of the sheath and wave it around I feel empowered. I often take pictures of it and send it to my friends to impress them. Haven’t needed it yet which sucks, I store it right next to my apocalypse green tomahawk but that thing has wickedly pointed edges and I hurt myself often when I play with it, to date I haven’t hurt myself playing with this knife which is impressive considering how sharp it is - I attribute that to the very nice handle. Would buy again

Just bought one of these. Haven’t bought off woot in a while so I can’t remember,do they always charge sales tax?
Price ended up being about the same as Amazon due to the sales tax and shipping.

Sales tax has changed over the last few years, but yes, we always charge tax now.

These are pretty nice knives. Love the handles on these, very comfy and nonslip.

I have seen them cheaper, picked up a few when Amazon had them for about $20. This price is almost the regular price I see once you include the shipping.

I have had no issues although a friend managed to snap the blade battoning. The steel is likely hardened a bit much for that I guess.
