What’s the difference between this and the 3440X that’s also up today?

They are the exact same knife. Same colors despite the description saying one is black and one is silver. They each have a silver handle and black/gray blade. One came in a box marked 3440 the other came in clamshell plastic as 3440x. Either Kershaw released them in different runs or they released them with specific distribution intentions. The X probably denotes distribution channel difference. Same knife. I have two now.
This is a nice knife but scary to own. Great quality but super easy to open …too easy accidentally and VERY hard to close. Takes 2 hands for sure.
