Perfect reviews on the smooth blade over at

[MOD: Different steel. See fatboy148’s post below.]

A great price for a great knife!
Maybe I need another one…

I’ve been using the Kershaw smooth for 3 years now. It’s an excellent knife.

Is it possible to order one of each? It doesn’t seem to be an option and that if you want to buy more than one, they all need to be the same.

Try adding one of each to your cart?

That model you posted that was sold at Bass Pro has a different blade steel:

“Steel: 440A stainless-steel with Tungsten DLC coating”\

Try this one for a comparison:

Having said that, IMO, this knife at Woot today for $29.99 is still a good deal

Thank you!

I’ve had the tanto blade version for a little over a year now. It’s a great knife, holds edge really well. The speedsafe is smooth and effortless. This was my first Kershaw by Ken Onion and has made me a fan of the line. As others have stated, this is a great price too. Pick it up, you’ll love it.

Why WOOT displays serrated version in 2 different blade designs? Designs on blade’s surface that outline blade part.

If you look on 2nd photo from the top there’s a line on blade that goes right down before handle starts. Now scroll until last photo at the bottom and you will see that line that goes straight down does it gradually forming a curve.

I think photo will explain my point:

And if you check previous WOOT for Kershaw serrated knife you will even find photo of Tanto serrated knife (3rd photo) there.

How can you know what you are really getting?

I think I got wooted for an extra $10 a couple of weeks ago when I bought the serrated tanto. OUCH!!!

good catch. another woot fail

Got this knife for christmas  Cant wait to use it this spring

I asked about this in forum of knife hobbyists and here’s what one of them said:
