18.99 + 5 shipping, you can’t go wrong. This is one of my favorite knives and I own plenty of usa and imported knives. Great Hinderer framelock design. good 3.5" blade but carries like a smaller knife due to its long slender shape. 8cr13mov is what it is. A pretty decent steel at the budget range (sub $50)
Have to agree with you. Many Kershaw knives all different even with similar features like assisted open. For me it would be another knife, but when I buy on sale from Amazon can return if I don’t like it.
Exactly right. A no nonsense knife you can use every day and no regrets if you break it or lose it. Nice design for a pocket knife and one handed opening is a definite plus.
Not top steel, but not top price either. $19 for a Hinderer design? I mean, if it’s not you’re thing that’s cool, but that’s a very fair price. You get a lock bar stabilizer and insert. Very cool features at this price point.
NOTE: This does not have the blade lock that other knives that include the speedsafe spring assisted opening. I have had my leek open on its own a few times when forgetting to set the blade lock.
It doesn’t need a lock. I’ve never had an issue with speedsafe on any Kershaw. If you have problems with it, you may want to change the way you carry your knife. For instance, if you clip to pocket, you may want to move the clip to the proper position for the pocket. In the right pocket and back left pocket, it would be tip up carry. if the left and back right, tip down carry. Reversed for left hand carry. This would ensure that the opening side of the blade is facing the seam of your pocket and will never open.
I have Kershaw Ken Onion that I picked up from Woot previously and I really like it. This one is definetely cheaper. Looks like same Kershaw Lifetime guarantee. Can I assume this includes sending back for sharpening if I so incline?
I’m thinking this would be a good knife for the price point.
