All Knives, All Kershaw

still with the restricted shipping to all of New York State? Come on WOOT do some homework, not all of NYS is covered by the laws in New York City…

Amazon will ship this knife to my door and I can buy knives like it at my local Gander Mountain.

Agreed…I bought a knife off of Amazon last year which was delivered to my house. I have 3 sporting goods stores within 10 minutes from my house that I could purchase any number of knives. I realize that new york state does has some crazy laws, but we are allowed to have knives!

This is one of the best knives.

Best Knife i have ever owned. fits my hand, easy opening, nice size and weight. I own several Kershaw Blurs. can’t seem to quit buying them. Bought two more today…

Bought one of these back in July. Excellent knife. The assisted opening takes a minute to get used to but it’s great one you get used to it.

I absolutely love my Blur. Mine is the plain black version. The 14C28N steel takes a very nice edge and retains it well too. The Trac-Tec inserts are nice and help you get a good purchase on it. The torsion assist is really nice, makes my other knife seem primitive, the thumb stud is also fantastic, it has a stepped contour that your thumb grips very well, much better than the post design on many other knives.

Some people have had issues with the liner lock on their knives allowing accidental blade closure when force is exerted along the spine of the blade, I personally haven’t had this issue.

The handle is aluminum, and does a great job of keeping the weight down, it is also constructed to allow any debris to flow-through the knife, the pocket clip is reversible, for either tip up or tip down carry.

Mine is with me all day everyday and hasn’t ever let me down, unlike my old Gerber which seemed to magically dull on pocket lint.

I agree that the Blur is a great knife that I carry on occasion (My Leek is my favorite), and the handle grip is great. It will not slip out of your hand.
But, a semi serrated tanto blade? Yuk.
If you don’t mind sharpening a knife, a non-serrated is faster cutting.

How hard is it to sharpen the blade profile? The Tanto profile doesn’t look too sharpener-friendly.

The scar I got from the knife in between my thumb and forefinger healed so nicely you can barely tell it is there!

This is a high-quality, very sharp knife which you will not even feel cut into you like butter.

Seriously though, I did stab myself with it accidentally trying to show my dad how to close it after becoming frustrated with his ineptitude.

“frustration” and “knife” are together a recipe for disaster.

I said the same thing in the comments of that CRKT they were selling yesterday. I just don’t get it. I feel like one of the staff had an explanation for this a while ago, but I don’t remember what it was.

It still stands to reason that if AMAZON can ship it, so can these guys.

This post could have been written by me. I also own several Blurs and I bought 2 today as well!

I also love the Leek that I carry when I have to wear dress pants.

The tanto profile is fairly easy to sharpen. The regular blade segments are just sharpened normally. The serrated segment is sharpened with a tapered rod on one side only.
