After seeing that the $24.99 Kindle was sold out I looked around Woot a little and I just bought a Kindle Fire HDX 7″ Tablet, AT&T 4G LTE, Full-HD 323ppi Touchscreen, 2.2GHz Quad-Core Processor, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 32GB Internal Storage, FireOS
I thought that was an excellent price.
Could not resist the deal and just got one myself. It is still a powerful tablet for the price.
Does anyone know if this tablet will work with a tmobile sim card?
It’s luck of the draw. Some of the units are actually unlocked for other carriers. Please note the different 4G LTE band if you are planning to use it in Europe.
Some third party unlocking for this device should cost around 10 bucks.
Can anyone tell me if this is one of the Kindles that includes “special offers?” By that, I mean the ads.
Yes, special offers.
What are the chances that this is also compatible on verizon?
How obtrusive are the “special offers” ads? Amazon has been pissing me off lately in general…every time I do a search on Amazon half the results have NOTHING to do with my specific item I’m searching for…more “special offers” I suppose! I’m thinking these ads will be really aggravating just as searching their site has become. And NO way am I paying extra to be ad free on a used device…
Reviews on their special offers tend towards non-intrusive, as it’s only on the lock screen, not full-time.
As for Amazon’s search engine, the spokestroll for a competing site answered my question back in May. I won’t link it, as it’s probably NSFW, but he has to great point.
