My wife loves hers. Really simple to use. Has so much power, it occasionally trips the circuit breaker.

Solid reviews (4 out of 5 stars) over at ebay

My sister has the 275-Watt version, and even when I try to make a single batch of pizza dough in it, the mixer fights it with its under-powered motor. The 325-Watt motor is a great sell-point. I really want one, but I’m looking for some input. I have no “knead” for one, but it would be nice to automate some of my bread-making duties.

You will never regret this purchase.

Looks like you can get it in pear from woot for $5.00 more.

You mean Amazon right?

These things are great and useful if you are an active semi-pro chef. However I am not sure how $230 is a “Deal” considering that its well within the range of what they go for from various sites over the last 5 years. We got ours for $215 a few years ago…

You will never regret this purchase! I have had this same model in red for over 10 years and it still runs like the day I bought it. It is the cornerstone of all of my baking, even boxed mixes are faster and easier with the KitchenAid Stand mixer. I also use it for mashing potatoes. There are tons of accessories that you can purchase down the road that increase your capabilities even more. I have the ice cream maker and food processor attachments and am pleased with both.

I got my KitchenAid when we got married almost 33 years ago. The smallest version was the only one available then. It's still going strong. I use it for pizza dough, cookies, mixing and kneading bread, banana bread, cakes, meringue, mashed potatoes, you name it. It has always had enough power. It has become the traditional wedding gift for two generations in our family. Every cook and baker needs one!

Oooooh, good one. Never heard that before.

Discussion from when I bought mine off of Woot

I love mine. Just made cookies in it the other night with a little help from my 3 year old. Super easy to use and “can” be safe for kids to help out with.

Thank you — I’m in. I just bought it. It’s a very good price, and I will be using it regularly. I cook a lot and bake sometimes, but I fear that my cookie output (and input) is going to dramatically increase.

Also, Make sure to check out any rebates you can get when you buy this. When I bought mine I got a free glass mixing bowl (~$50) for free with a mail in rebate.

Looks like you get a free Food Grinder attachment

These have been available, with more color choices, on ebay lately for a lot less.

Wow! Thank you so much for pointing this out to us!
