$30 Rebate
I know folks have used them successfully w/ Woot purchases before.

Way better off getting a refurb Professional 600 direct from Kitchenaid on Ebay for just $35 more (free shipping but both sites charge taxes). The 600 has metal gearing which is critical to long term use.

Amazon has a list of the differences.

So on that rebate form in the “store where purchased” field, would I put ‘Woot’ or ‘Woot Inc.’ or what?

I bought one of these the last time they were offered (it’s awesome!). I did the $30 rebate, too. On the form I put the store as Home.Woot.com (giving the periods their own box). I just received my rebate yesterday, so I think you’d be okay putting it in that way. Hope that helps!

I purchased last time. The only problem I had was the delivery. It came Fed Ex and needed a signature. It took about a week to catch up to it. I ended up having to go to Fed Ex to get it-what a pain! I recommend using a work delivery address if possible on this one. BTW, Love the mixer!!

We bought the Professional 600 for $250 brand new at Younkers a bit back and it came with a mail in rebate for the ice cream bowl. Unless you really need this right now, I would recommend getting the bigger one with all metal gearing as noted above. You have to watch the sales, but these do go on good sales on occasion.

Thank you! I just shaded in Iowa on the map  One more question, did you put your home city/state for “where purchased”?

Just a note that KitchenAid/Whirlpool supports our local community here in Ohio in a big way. They just announced they are expanding the plant and hiring 400 more people (1000 already employed).

Great news from a great company!

Yay! Glad to help!

When I was filling in the city and state info, I put ONLINE as the city and left the state blank. They didn’t seem to mind.

Also, there isn’t a packing slip, so just print out the email confirmation you receive from Woot as your receipt/packing slip.

Side note: I don’t know if anyone cares to know this but I got mine really fast when I ordered this deal on 2/1 (Saturday). It got to me by 2/4 (Tuesday). I received my package before I received shipping confirmation from Woot (that email came on 2/10).

For $200 with free shipping you can get the Kitchenaid Professional 5 Plus. Includes all steel gears and 450w vs 325w for the Artisan.

I gotta say, guys, I’m really surprised that these are still hangin’ around this morning. You’re not helping me not buy one…

Then what kind of gears does the artisan have? Aluminum or plastic or something?

I have had the professional for 3 years now. It broke twice in the same spot - the worm gear that drives the paddle. The Pro series are much better than the plastic-gear lower grades, but even then they break - in my case a lot!

You have to learn how to use them and not break them. Don’t believe the claims that the 325 watt motor will mix the heaviest of batters and so on. It’ll just overheat or chew through a gear if you don’t catch it in time.

$239.00 + tax + $5 shipping - $30 mail-in-rebate = $234 for a brand new 5Qt mixer by KitchenAid.

Once I did the math, checked out the other links for refurb pro - I went ahead and bought a Chrome one before it sold it.
I like the idea of getting a new one - and I still paid less.
You’ll have to pay taxes on Ebay as well as any other place - so figure in that price to your refurb.
Glad I made the decision to buy one - been wanting it for years. And I rarely see these on sale.

Was getting a bit worried about the sturdiness of the gear assemblies in this model. Until I noticed metal gear assemblies for sale on amz. In for 1.
