Reviews of a similar set

I bought this set on amazon lighting deals for the same price is here right now, right after the deal was over the price jumped $5.
So until yesterday the price for this set was $204, oviously right now this set is not available directly from amazon but from other sellers at higher cost.
I can’t speak about the quality of this set but why would we jump to buy it here paying shipping?
I really love amazon but the alteration of the price during “deals” is pretty frustrating.

Is this the same quality as “clad”?
The 18/10 tri-ply…
Thanks

Does anyone own this and have actual real world feedback. I’m looking to buy my first set now that I’m getting my own place, but I’d like something that will last.

I’ve owned one of these sets for 10.5 years, (wedding present), and I think they are fantastic. Not quite as solid as the similar All-Clad versions, but close enough for me, for significantly less money. solidly constructed, heat well, dishwashable(!!!), and nice lids. Although admittedly, I think they changed the lid design on these newer ones and they feel a little less solid than mine. Still pretty decent though. We’ve recommended the tri-ply line to multiple family members, who are all happy with them now as well.

I believe we started with a slightly larger version of this set, and have since expanded it with a few extra pots & pans.

You can find a GREAT in-depth review of KitchenAid Tri-Ply cookware here: In-Depth Product Review: KitchenAid Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Cookware

There is a link within the review to a fantastic All-Clad versus Cuisinart MCP comparison. Gives some great information on differences between stainless cookware.

This on Amazon looks to be the same set. https://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-Tri-Ply-Stainless-12-Piece-Finish/dp/B01ATSHP0A

The reviews are good. I ended up there after Googling to find out about dishwasher safe and induction performance.

I just don’t have any faith with welded on handles. Yes I have had others snap off. Not this brand but it does happen. Give me those rivets for strength and durability.
