I don’t get it, are they not allowed to read in Alaska or Hawaii??

According to a random commenter on mobileread, this is not really a kobo. I certainly couldn’t find any information about it on their website.

I picked up a 1st gen Paperwhite at a lost & found sale for $30 - once you’ve read on a Kindle or Nook, any of these readers are impossible. A refurb Kindle or Nook, are definitely the way to go.

Can’t for the life of me figure out why anyone would want this thing…if you’re willing to carry this thing around, it means you probably already have a smartphone, and if you already have a smartphone, you already probably have the kindle app or ibooks, or some other PDF reader…

Weird.

Just to get it straight, this is my phone, but it is smaller, can’t make calls or get on the internet? Oh, and it isn’t e-ink, so sun glare is a problem…hmmmm. I guess if you don’t have a smartphone and want to carry a second device…

“Looking for a portable e-reader with a sharp display?”
Keep looking. Display resolution is NOT even listed.

Guess you could duct tape this to the back of your Motorola Razer…

I believe this is a newer model of what used to be sold as the “Slick eReader” at places like Big lots. $20 for a knock-around device to use in situations where you would be afraid to damage a $600 smartphone, this is a no-brainer.

Love the map of where these were purchased.
