Dupe! Got this last time it was on Woot! It has been pretty good to me, though not as good to my batteries. Lack of rechargeable li-ion is pretty n00bish, though I’m sure there are plenty available aftermarket. Haven’t used the EasyShare features, but it takes decent enough pictures for me.
Minor gripe: mine came with a busted lens cover. Probably a fluke.
I bought this exact camera from Sellout a few weeks ago (albeit for $109.99) and have used it every weekend since. I love it, it’s easy to use, takes great pictures, and very good for what it is.
I have this Camera and I took it to the zoo once and took 12 Pictures with brand new Energizer Batteries in a period of 2 hours and the new batteries went dead. this Camera takes great pics , has excellent features , but goes through batteries like crazy.
If the picture has not been modified to enhance the reflection in the eyes, then it’s a surprisingly noisy picture for a daylight image taken with flash!
Good pictures, great in low light–you can easily do handheld shots in regular room light without flash. Fantastic zoom–The limit is how still you can hold the camera. Lens cap falls off easily–I modified it to stay on better by adding velcro between the clips and the body of the cap. Useless with the NiMH batteries I had-5-10 pictures. Li-Ion disposables last a long time. Slow write speed, takes significant time between pictures, even at lower resolutions.
Is there a difference between this camera and the Kodak Z710? On www.dpreviews.com I can’t find this camera, but I can find the Z710. On the otherhand, the zd710 is on amazon, but not on www.dpreviews.com
I have this camera. If you are learning about photography get this camera. It has almost as many features as my D40 (but no manual focus). For a camera in this price range you will find nothing that compares. PERIOD.
