Koolulu LCD Writing & Drawing Tablet

The writing shows up so dim that you can hardly see it. Don’t buy!

$29.99 on their own site… not sure about that retail price!

IMHO it’s fraudulently deceptive to call this an LCD Writing and Drawing Tablet. It has no computer, no input circuits, no output circuits. LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display, but it is incapable of functioning as a display of any electronic signal whatsoever. When you can buy a genuine Android phone or tablet for $50 undiscounted, offering this product at this price is highly suggestive that this product is not what it really is.

> IMHO it’s fraudulently deceptive to call this an LCD Writing and Drawing Tablet.

Actually, that’s exactly what it is.

> LCD … but it is incapable of functioning as a display of any electronic signal whatsoever.

The electronic signal in this device resets the Liquid Crystals into a state that blocks the transmissions of light–it’s actually the exact same principle as seen in other displays, but there is no divisions of them into colored pixels, and the electronic signal only occurs when the display is reset.

This is the exact same technology in your tablets and computer screens–the only difference is the liquid crystals are broken by stylus pressure to change the way light passes through them–like the temporary changes you see when putting pressure on other LCD screens. The electric signal re-aligns and reconstructs the broken crystals.

You’re arguing that a lawnmower isn’t really a car because it doesn’t have an engine.

(Edited to reduce sarcasm & increase knowledge sharing…)

Wow. You really decided, gee, the Internet wasn’t cold & harsh enough, the trolls needed your help today, and you just needed to drop a deuce on some random stranger for no reason?

It’s much easier just to kick a puppy, y’know. No need to faff with computers, logins, everything…

Maybe I’ve been in 4Chan too long. Edited.

Nope. Doesn’t display. An electric clear mechanism doesn’t qualify.

…nor did you address the fact that the posted list price is above the sales price of many devices that have LCDs that can actually display electronic information.

It’s not a display tablet, it’s a “writing and drawing” tablet. Read the product name.

Go and argue the tv mounts aren’t electronic and the bidet toilet seats aren’t garden implements. These clearly are electronic.

As for the price, I paid about as much for a “boogie board” brand tablet for my kids and certainly don’t feel deceived or cheated. Since there are multiple makers of them and no price war, I’m sure it’s a fair price.

Okay, Woot, you got me on this one. No way anyone would accept and keep this item at $100. $20 is too much. Works on a button battery, definitely not high tech. Can’t return because it’s not defective. Would be okay for a child to play with but it’s not sturdy enough to take any rough handling. Time to look for other places to spend my money.
