I see the length question was answered, but also knowing if the diamonds are VS1 or VS2 is pretty important as inclusions are slightly more noticeable in VS2 than VS1 under a scope, although both are gonna be beautiful to the naked eye. I’m js :man_shrugging:

If I am reading it correctly, I believe that they are implying that the claimed 208 diamonds may be a combination of both VS1 and VS2 and 100% of neither.

With 208 stones totaling 5 carats, I am assuming that they are pretty small individually.

In a 5-carat tennis necklace with 208 diamonds, each diamond would be approximately 0.024 carats (also known as 2.4 “points”), which typically corresponds to a size of 1.8 millimeters (mm) for a round brilliant cut.

That’s a lot of :money_bag: for small lab grown diamonds. Lab grown diamonds avoid the labor issues of natural diamonds but require a lot of energy to produce. Diamonds and other gemstones produced in laboratories also don’t hold their value as well as natural diamonds.

Phht, gross human rights violations.

“Never mind that. Here’s a touching, romantic scene of a guy proposing to an elated fiancée on a hill with a cute lighted tree and emotional music.”

“You need diamonds, gold digger, because [cue Jersey shore accent] he went to Jared! I’m going to show it off to all my lady friends and make them jealous.”

I alluded to this issue without making such a strong political statement. I had a post questioning why a shower curtain liner was almost double the cost it was previously removed because I hinted at a possible cause.

If this was one huge lab grown diamond, this wouldn’t be too overpriced. As a bunch of itsy bitsy lab grown diamond, I’d say is worth under $1,000. The real value is the gold, but the weight of that is not disclosed. Also, despite the chat cross reference noting an 18 inch length, the cross reference is NOT the same offering. This one says white gold, that one says gold OR Platinum (despite D&D is half the value of gold), and the description here says 14, 16, 18, or 20 inch (which makes me assume 14 inch).
