I feel like I am missing something. How does this work? What does “water colorful” mean?
Not only a toy but also a communicative link between you and baby.
I looked at similar items and it seems you fill up the markers with water to use them. The mat itself changes color when it gets wet so drawing on it with the water markers creates the “ink.” The drawings go away when it dries.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
The “markers” have water in them. When used to draw on the mat, it darkens it, making it seeming like you are drawing in color (but as you can see in the pictures, you are just getting a darker shade of the color block that is already there).
As the water dries/evaporates, it fades away to blank, ready for the next art project.
And then you have to explain why the baby’s hard work is vanishing before their very eyes. Thus establishing the communicative link between you and baby.
Obviously. It will take a lot of work to explain the concept of impermanent art to a child.
